Article on Reuters said that GE’s aerospace division has announced a partnership with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, a state-owned company in India, to manufacture fighter jet engines for the Indian Air Force. The agreement includes the potential joint production of GE Aerospace's F414 engines in India, which will be used to power Tejas fighter jets. This development coincides with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the United States, as Washington aims to strengthen its ties with India to counterbalance China's influence in the region. GE has a longstanding collaboration with Hindustan Aeronautics and the Aeronautical Development Agency since 1986, providing support for the development of India's light combat aircraft using F404 engines.
Now, in my opinion, any new partnership or strategic expansion is good news for the company, at least as far as everything goes as it should. When looking at the company on Finviz, I saw many other news about GE, which said that they are making lots of new partnerships lately. From the fundamental part, I have seen enough to decide to go for it.
Just in case, as always, I went to perform quick technical analysis. Company had 6 stock splits in the past, which shows that GE is and was doing great. The highest point it has reached was in 2000, when stocks hit the value of 340 USD. * At the time of writing, price is around 105 USD for a stock, which gives them a lot of potential space for movement. [1] I have decided to enter the trade as soon as the US market will open. I have decided like that even though the price is on the highest point it has been in the past 5 years.
