CFD Indexes

Stock indexes are clearly one of the most popular instruments among investors. When investing in CFD indices, the client buys, but also speculates on a decline in the price of companies that are part of the selected index. The most famous indices include the American Dow Jones Industrial, S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, the European STOXX Europe 600, the German DAX, the French CAC 40 or the British FTSE 100.

  • You can close an open trading position only during the corresponding trading hours of the given instrument, therefore always check the trading hours of the exchange on which the given trading instrument is traded.

  • A trading instrument may be temporarily unavailable for trading due to resource constraints (e.g. suspension of the underlying market).

How do I start trading indexes?

After successfully opening an account, uploading the necessary documents and having them approved, you can start trading. Download the trading platform to your preferred device, such as a computer or tablet, and log in by using your credentials. Then all you have to do is choose which index you want to trade.

What influences the development of the price of CFD indices?

When investing in CFD indices, you should have in mind that the price of the company's shares, which are in the index, is affected by a number of economic, political (elections, new laws, etc.), but also natural factors (drought, floods, etc.). Macroeconomic data, such as inflation, interest rates, unemployment and economic growth, and other factors that can cause significant positive or negative movements in stock markets also play a role.
